1. Peter Tarach welds a nut onto a small oil pan cover for an oil temperature sensor. Since Air Cooled VW motors are cooled by oil - its important to monitor oil temperatures. Pete started by drilling a hole through the oil pan cover. Then inserting the temp sensor, threading a nut onto the inside side of the cover. We then used the mig welder to tac the nut onto the cover. Ground down the welds. Re-touched the welds then added silicon RTV sealant (high temp gear case sealant).
